Exposed rough sawn rafter tails and fascia with a zincalume roof and thinline drip edge give this home a classic australian feel whilst keeping it’s footing firmly on the grounds of practicality.

36A & 36B Avanti st Mermaid Waters QLD

Designed and documented with Tony Peart, this project was a demolition of the existing house with a subdivision of the property which was replaced with two townhouses, detached duplexes so to speak.

Both units have 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and pools. The first unit sold for a record price in the street before it even hit the market at $1.845million and the second is listed currently for $1.985million.

it’s good to see something you had an intrinsic involvement with in the design come to fruition and peform well for the client.

Ironically nowhere near a harbour, or boats for that matter, this Hilltop dwelling is designed to take in the best of the available views, have an impressive frontage, and make the most of passive design features to create a liveable home.
